Had to cancel my Thursday appointment last-minute and they left me a voicemail saying it was canceled and no worries.
Made an appointment today (Monday), and drove 40 minutes to this location. On my way to the store, Bishops tried to charge my card for half the cost of my appointment. This isn’t typical for Bishops to do, yet I did not receive an email, phone call, or text to neither authorize nor explain this charge.
So I arrive for my appointment, check in, and I’m suddenly told that in order to receive services today I will have to pay half the cost of my cancelled appointment from Thursday, because I did not reschedule my appointment within 24 hours.
I’m not sure why I would pay a fee when there was no mention of this prior to me coming in, and I’m coming in on the first day of the week following my cancelled appointment to loyally give this business my money…?
When I explained this to the front desk, she said “Honestly I’m not sure, I’ll have to check on that”, and proceeded to stand in place and stare at me.
So now I’m leaving a review, because she did not check on it, and ultimately attempting an unauthorized charge to my card and wasting over an hour of my time by having me arrive just to experience that interaction was an amazing way to get me to take my business to their competitor.
Used to think this place had at least a modicum of passion, now it just seems like they exploit their clients for cash grabs.
Tacoma has over 200 salons and barber shops.
I will never recommend Bishops again.
